- Must have current work experience at a STAND ALONE Rehabilitation Facility, this is not hospital with a rehab wing it is specifically rehabilitation only.
- 150 Bed Rehabilitation Facility inner city long term rehab care
- Appropriately and accurately assign ICD-9-CM, and IRF PAI.
- Understanding of UDS and Impairment Group Coding.
- Maintain productivity and quality requirements.
- Interact with management, staff, and physicians to gain clear understanding of ambiguous documentation.
Requirements for Rehabilitation Coding Specialist IRF PAI
- RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P Certifications.
- 3-5 Years of recent medical and/or clinical coding experience at a STAND ALONE Rehabilitation Facility.
- Thorough understanding Rehabilitation Medical Record Content.
- Working knowledge and proficiency with encoder and book if necessary.
- Maintain 95% consistent quality
- Must have high speed internet connection and an understanding of viewing records online in order to code them from home.
