View Full Version : Wading through "Terms and Conditions"

I've been learning about marketing online and getting other websites to link to mine. There are a lot of "free offers" to link, but when I read the terms and conditions, often I'm uneasy that "free" is a relative term...! This question may be too general for anybody to answer--but are there any guidelines or information that would help me know what are reasonable "terms and conditions"?

I hope this helps-- I have been learning a lot about linking and there are bad linking also-- you have to watch who you are linking to--I was told at least 2-back--
When someone want to link to me- I not only check out there site--but there links also-- I did not do this in the begining - so I Have been cleaning out--It is also very time consuming.

I also do this on myspace-- because my site is child oriented- I can not have some other child oriented sites -- that have nasty things posted on them or there links are very child un friendly--
so much time used just for that-- it is a shame.

Nani,

One thing I've been taught is to find those sites I want to link to and do it. Then send the owner a note and let them know I've linked to them. Sometimes they'll link back, sometimes they won't.

Thanks for the thoughts, Audrey and Karen. It is time consuming. Do you find it worth the effort in the long run?

By the way--Audrey--your internet marketing lists have been a great help. All kinds of things to learn...! You've been a great resource! Thanks!

I think so-- and everyone else says yes-- the end result is what you are after. And seo and linking never ends- that is the forever part
