Today I had a table at an event (had a very good response to Watkins). Here are a few things that I was told today by some "older" women that remember using the products and or their mother using them.

First story a lady ( in her late 60's) came by the table and we were discussing the products and how she remembered her mother using them. Then she spotted the red liniment. She said her mother use to mix some of this with milk and honey, then drink it. ( Please do not try this...does say for external use only! ) I was amazed. She said yes, her mother use to swear by this. I thought that was very interesting...anyone else hear of this?

Second story a lady ( in her 80's) came by and was browsing through the products and she stopped at the medicated ointment and started to feel the edge of the can where the top lid fit over the bottom ( she was very interested in it ). I thought she was checking for a seal or something. So I asked her have you tired this product before? She said oh yes..it is fantastic. I just wanted to see if the rim on the cover was the same. I said Oh, why is that? She said because the older cans had a very sharp straight edge that didn't curl and it makes the best cookie cutters. I said really that is so interesting. Then the lady next to her said Yes. I use to use it for a cookie cutter too.

So throughout the day I heard different things here and there and it is amazing how Watkins fit into peoples lives, but not only for what we think the products do but for memories and everything else they do with them!

Cindy,

It's been a long time since I offered Watkins products to others. I have heard of folks drinking the liniment many years ago.

I wonder if the ingredients were different back then?

Yes, I wonder too. Think I am going to do some research on it and find out.;)
