Babysitters

Do you use babysitters? Do you have more than one sitter? How much do you pay your sitters?

We currently don't use any outside babysitters. We usually send our kids to the Parent's Night Out at the daycare, which costs $40 for 2 children. OR, our friends will watch them, no charge, we have 2 sets of friends we can usually call on. In extreme circumstances, my mother (who lives about 2.5 hours away) will come down for a weekend to watch the kids. There are some teenagers in our neighborhood who offer babysitting services, but I don't think I'm ready for that yet...

When my kids were young, we had one sitter. We actually met her when she was an aid in the preschool my daughter went to. She was in college here for 4 years, so we had her for those 4 years. After that, my mom would stay for weekends, but we didn't really have an evening babysitter.

We rarely need one - but when we do, it's the grandparents. Sometimes my teenage son will watch the boys - but Jazzy (out almost 2 year old) is a bit much for him.
