View Full Version : My radioplay site
Can anyone review my radioplay site which is www.radioplaycontests.com?
Do you like the color theme and layout? Should the comic be placed somewhere else? Maybe beside the logo or on the bottom of the forum?

The link took me to a message board. When I got there, the first thing I saw was:
Radioplay Contests has been sold. Click here for the news.
Because I am so accustomed to message board owners deserting their boards and then not renewing, that line is a real turn off for me.
I know this is just my opinion, but it's what I saw.
I know it looks like a turn-off. I would be turned off too if I'm a new visitor to my site.
However, if you clicked the "Click here for the news" link, you'll find out that it's my April Fool's day forum joke. So, I'm didn't really sold or abandon it. I'm removing that paragraph tomorrow.

HI Lee-
I think the color scheme is fine - it's a very popular one. The blue/silver/grey is neutral and pleasing to the eye.
If you were to move anything around, I might suggest making the login box smaller and putting the comic in the upper right where the 'news' box is now.
Also - what about a brief paragraph or a really cool tag line to expand a little bit on what your site is all about. I realize from the logo that it's about radio contests - but that doesn't tell me much. I wasn't really sure what your site was about.
Overall, nice job!
