How important do you feel it is to have a good signature tag on your network posts, group posts, message boards and on your emails?
Do you yourself read signature tags in the emails you get and the posts you read?
Do you think folks should have graphics and a banner in their signature tag or does that turn you off?
What are your tips in regards to doing up an effective signature tag?
Like the Short & Sweet? (or) detailed with info?
Absolutely critical! It's also really helpful to use keyword phrases in your signatures if you want that extra boost for search engine results :)
Marketing aside, it's really a great way to get to know eachother.

I think they are important. I like a little info but too much bling turns me off. I want to know who you are, what company you are with and maybe a line about the product/opportunity with a website link.
I don't care for a lot of graphics or flashing colors and glitter. I like Audrey's smiley face. It's enough to draw your attention to the sig line but it's not overwhelming.

I agree with MaryAnn in that I don't like alot of words, too much information, or too much pizazz on someone's signature line. It can be a bit overwhelming to me. I think a catchy phrase with a link to their website is enough for me to be drawn in. I think I'd be more likely to click on a website link in a signature that had an eye catching one-liner.
