Any WritingUp bloggers?

Who has blogged on WritingUp? I'd like to know your experiences since I'm considering this. I also have some questions. I am a freelance newspaper writer who has never written for the Internet, and I was interested when I heard about this website.

Is this considered a professional thing to do?

Will I make enough to make this worth my while?

How is the income really generated? I understand that the website owners make half and I make half but I don't know how it is really made.
