Hi

I'm a UK WAHM and I'm looking for tips on what I can do to improve my site's position in the search engines, especially Google. I built the site myself using a site builder, though I'm quite a novice so please try to make replies as simple as possible!

Have a look at my site and come back with your comments. I'd also welcome any general comments about my site.

Karen:

I have an article on my site that's a primer for optimizing your site for search engines: 5 Steps to Optimize Your Site for Search Engines (http://www.getthenetresults.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=4). There are clearly more advanced techniques that will boost your ranking even more, but these tips will get you started.

When looking for keywords for your meta tags and to be included in your site content, you should spend some time with WordTracker. This tool can help you find good alternative keywords to use, especially 'niche' keywords where there are few sites that include them but a decent number of searches. You can use it free on a trial basis that limits the number of keywords it will provide you which is a great way to get started with it.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Justin
