Responsible for internal quality review of appraiser field reports in preparation for delivery to the customer. Assist in mentoring and training activities of field appraisers for quality of work and reviews. Regular contact with appraisers and managers. Reviewer works independently but within a team environment. Quality, production and time service accountabilities.
* Responsible for internal electronic processing of field reports at a consistently high level of accuracy and volume.
* Assists department manager in supervising the field appraisers’ reports for quality of work, including thorough review and correction as needed.
* Responsible for meeting deadlines and contractual requirements on a consistent basis, as directed by department manager.
* Regular phone contact with field appraisers and managers, with occasional customer contact.
* Identifies missing information and areas requiring corrections.
* Utilizes internal resources to obtain required information.
* Ensures that product is in compliance with company and customer standards.
* Escalates more complex questions to supervisor as required.
- High School Graduate or GED and Bachelors Degree OR one to three years of equivalent work experience.
- Property underwriting and/or appraisal experience is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of construction materials a plus.
- Above average analytical and mathematical skills.
- Above average customer service skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented.
- High level proficiency with email systems, Microsoft Windows, Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite.
Job Requirements:
* four-year college degree (or equivalent work experience)
* experience in construction, residential appraising, property claims (residential), loss control, or a related field position
* strong customer service and computer skills
* self-motivated and ability to work independently
* high speed internet access, and computer
* digital camera
