Description
From an at-home office Reservations Representatives sell American Airlines' service to prospective customers by answering incoming calls and assisting customers in reaching satisfactory solutions to their needs. They apply sales techniques while providing schedules, fare and flight information to our customers in a manner that meets the standards of high customer service as outlined in the basic training and normal call guidelines. In addition, the Reservations Representative will respond to callers inquiries in our non-airline related ventures, as call volume dictates. The operation of the computer terminal and the standard PC keyboard is required. All functions are performed within certain time constraints that are based on the average work times of fellow employees.
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED. Ability to work a variety of shifts assigned by seniority according to operational needs. The operation covers a twenty-four hour period which includes weekends, holidays, and overtime as required. Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language. Be located within fifty (50) miles from the local Reservations Office. Be within the local calling area of the local Reservations Office. Provide furniture per guidelines in the AMR Medical ergonomics handbook. Subscribe to and maintain a high-speed Internet connection such as Digital Subscriber Line (DSL), broadband cable, or fiber optic with a minimum upstream connection speed of 384 Kbps or higher. Procure a locked file cabinet or drawer for confidential and propriety materials. Reliable transportation to attend training and team meetings at the local Reservations Office. Have and maintain properly located smoke detectors.
