This position is responsible for contributing to the national recruitment and customer service efforts for the Breast Cancer 3-Day, benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust. This role is focused on aggressive sales goals and providing timely and accurate responses to phone and email inquiries. You will support efforts to achieve participation and fundraising goals as directed by the Participant Acquisition Management Team. This is a home-office-based, full-time, temporary position supporting the entire 3-Day series.
The ideal candidate must have a proven ability to meet proactive and reactive sales metrics. Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to resolve problems with promptness and accuracy are necessary.
Qualifications:
Minimum of two years experience in recruitment or sales, customer service, fundraising, volunteer management, or similar field
Proven aptitude for leadership
Experience inspiring, motivating and supporting others
Proven competency in strategic planning and project management
Proven competency in software applications, including MS Word, MS Excel & MS Outlook, with the ability to learn new programs quickly
Proven resourcefulness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to work evenings and some weekends
Willingness to travel outside of geographic area, as needed, for training, planning meetings and on-event staffing roles
Demonstrated ability to manage to results in stressful situations
Prior experience in phone sales or in multi-day fundraising events a plus
This position does require that you furnish your own computer equipment and have access to high speed internet. Further requirements will be explained at interview.
