Post Stealers

Ok..would love some opinions here. I just discovered that a gal has stolen at least two of my long posts and copied them to another forum, signing her name to them.

Had she emailed me and said "can I use it?" I would've said "yes, but please do give me credit". I think that's a really fair answer.

Instead she stole my posts, had the admin block me from entering the forum where she placed the posts and then signed her name to them. (there is no way for me to know what she told the admin to have the admin block me. For all I know the admin might be her mom, her sister, her best friend etc)

I know so many people on line that I was told about this and was actually able to see that indeed my posts were stolen.

What would you do?

First of all, I'm sorry to hear someone stole your posts and didn't give credit where credit is due.

Secondly, there must be a way to contact the Admin of the board besides going through the forum. I'm wondering what this person told the Admin to make them block you...I mean seriously, what kind of person would take the word of one person and not hear the other side of the story?

Are the other people who told you about this members of the forum? Maybe they can respond to the thread where these posts are and say they belong to someone else and reference where you made these posts by providing the website URL?

I would try and get a hold of the Admin....I really dislike people who steal articles, posts, ad copies etc. from other people. :no:

Contacting the admin is not the issue. The admin made the CHOICE to deny me membership....she has that right. But when it's to protect someone who is stealing my posts...well that's why I'm asking for opinions.

Again...the admin very well might be the stealers mother...I just don't know.

Regardless of how the Admin is related to the gal, I would still contact the Admin and ask what warranted a denial of membership...you have that right to know just as she has the right to deny you.

You guys SHOULD be able to get some kind of an answer from the admin of the forum as to why you both were denied.

I think its simply because the post stealer is there and she is a moderator there.

She stole paragraphs out of my ads and inserted them into her ads...then last week I changed up my ad as I got fed up with it.

In regards to Audrey...she stole 2 of Audreys Informative TW posts and made them her own too....she then posted them over on this forum.

We both applied for entry to the forum but were denied membership. We were alerted by other members there that Miss post stealer was posting things that were NOT her original content.

Yesterday I captured some web pages...did some research, compiled some links and zipped up a file on this girl and sent it to TW corp HQ. I don't play silly games like this, its childish but I will exercise my rights.

Like Audrey, I now want NOTHING to do with that forum.

Check your PM's...I sent you the full story of who the gal is etc.

Tammy...I don't care why I was turned down...well I KNOW why I was turned down, it's because my posts are there LOL.

I just want my posts taken down and never used again.

As my very first post said, I've always been very generous is sharing my words and allowing others to use them as long as I'm given credit. I will NEVER allow my words to be used by this site owner, nor her thief moderator. And it's looking like I might have a legal right to demand the posts be taken down.

Make sure you report her to TW corp first before you request the posts be taken down or atleast capture the pages and the links....that way you have evidence. It took me about 2 hours yesterday but I went back thru alot of posts the post stealer makes and found the ones I was looking for when she stole info from me to put in her ads. I captured the pages, logged the links, time and date stamps and zipped them up in a file.

Thanks Audrey for the PM. I'm really sorry this is happening to you and Shelly. I didn't know the entire scope of this until I read it on another board. Karma will bite her hard on the butt.

I'm glad Shelly you made capture pages and sent them to TW. Keep us updated on how things work out.

Well Shelly and Audrey wanted me to share an article that I wrote on it...what she has done is taken intellectual property and used it for herself. So yes what she is doing is illegal...if you ever need any legal help findlaw.com is a great place to go...
