Are you a hugger? I am definately a hugger. However I know others are not. Are you sensitive to those who don't enjoy hugs? I can usually tell by body language. If I've misjudged and believe I've hugged someone that would prefer not to be hugged, I'll immediately apologize and wait to see their response. So, what about you? Are you a hugger?

Hugger here! My family is full of huggers, but my husbands family is not. That was a bit odd when we first got together. I would say He had a little more adjusting to do than I did, since everytime we went to my family gatherings he would be hugged by all the mom, aunties, & grandma.....:)

Boy do I relate. When I first got married, folks were hugging him left and right and it was a bit "odd" for him. He did get used to it though. We've not been married for over 10 years now. When he sees my folks, or any of my family he hugs them all :)

I am a hugger too and so is my family...with that being said, my inlaws are NOT huggers. I don't ever seen any of my inlaws being affectionate what so ever.
I only like hugging people I love... I'm not one to hug someone I only recently met... and I feel uncomfortable if they hug me.

I love to hug...my hubby works at a grocery store...and all his coworkers love me to death! Well most of them...one co worker of his I wanna do mean things to her. She's really rude a mean....she thinks I'm mean to my husband and she thinks I don't feed him enough. She's as big as a freakin cow...I told him to tell her to step her you know what away from the table and get to a decent weight she might see how good it feels to be at a decent weight...well I wasn't that nice about but he always goes yeah yeah yeah...err and she says how come you never have any money in your pocket and stuff like that...duh...we'll waste money on junk food...that's why!

I completely agree with this! Normally when I hug someone, its only when we're parting ways. If its someone I'm particularly close to and I haven't seen them for a long time, then I hug when I first see them.

I am a hugger & I come from a family of huggers. My fiancee's family is affectionate but no as much as mine. So he was ok with the hugging.
I hug EVERYONE, for what ever the reason may be....saying hi, bye, comforting, or just to say "i love you". I always find a reason to hug someone.

I have learned to be a hugger - it doesn't come naturally. I don't come from a family of huggers. I rarely initiate the hug but they don't turn me off completely anymore.
