So...here's my story for today. My daughter and I stopped at a small sandwich shop for lunch. This shop is right off a very busy, major street. You pull into a driveway, large enough for one car only. You then drive inside a gate, where now, two cars can fit, and finally into a parking lot. There are two other small businesses in this parking lot.
I pull in...a car pulls in behind me. All of a sudden, I can't move. There is a car parked along the side of the wall on the left and another parked along the side of the wall on the right. I did not know if I would fit. I was petrified I was going to take a mirror off either my car or one of those cars. There is no way to back up. First there is the car behind me, and secondly, you just can't back up onto this major busy street.
I get out of my car and look around. What other businesses are here? Was there a car mechanic who maybe parked there? Then I spot an Enterprise Rent A Car. I'm now livid, as this was so dangerous. I go and find the employee. It's a very very small store and only one employee. He first lies and says the cars are not his. Then when I ask why an Enterprise license frame is on the cars he changes his story and says "customers must've parked there and I can't control where they park". Keep in mind, this is a tiny store. There is no way for a car to have been parked there and him not know.
I decided to call Corporate. I really was angry. This was just so dangerous. Thank goodness I was not in an SUV. I would've literally been stuck. The person at corporate I spoke to was so nice. He said it was actually against company policy for this employee to have left the cars there. He apologized profusely and assured me a district manager would get my complaint.
Ok...vent over
