Hi to all?

I've heard of VAing, but I am not sure I realy get what it's about? What does one do as an assistant? How does the relationship work, what is a basic idea of pricing?

Do people do phone answering and redirection (such as sending to this person, or sending to voice mail, ect...)?

Thank you

Nick

I am not real sure what they do either. Sounds like it could be something fun to do though!

Virtual Assistants provide offsite office support to their clients. Their services range greatly. Some provide one or more of the following:

general administrative support (this is a huge category)
accounting or bookkeeping support
paralegal services
IT services
digital audio transcription
coaching
schedule management
customer support

Those are just a few examples of what VAs can offer. They are experts in their field and provide outstanding value to their clients.

I hope that helps answer some questions. If you have more, please feel free to ask away!

VA's also tend to be technically savvy, have basic graphic and html skills, can provide support for online software, maintain blogs and websites etc.

VA's often handle customer support and once they have experience with various software's for live chat and customer relationship management software (CRM) etc. they may find themselves in the position of managing a support department.

Pay varies a good deal but a reliable and skilled VA should charge upward of $20/hour.

Many start out at about $12-$15 but as they acquire clients and build their portfolio of skills they can make quite a bit more.

Virtual Assistants really have a great opportunity to enter the online working world and work their way up. It's an excellent alternative for professional and entrepreneurial women.

VAs provide administrative support at their home office. You can hire them to do tedious task that doesn't make you money so you can have more free time for the important aspects of your business.
