Barbeque Biscuit Cups
1 package of refrigerated biscuits (12 pack)
3/4 lb ground beef or ground turkey
1 tablespoon minced onion
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
In a skillet brown the ground beef and then drain off the excess fat. Add the bbq sauce, onion and brown sugar and set aside.
Separate the biscuit ough into 12 pieces and place one in each of 12 ungreased muffin cups, ressing the dough up the sides to the edge of the cup.
Spoon the mixture nto the cups and sprinkle with the shredded cheddar cheese. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 minutes. Serve hot.
Note: For a vegetarian option, substitute chili beans for the meat and BBQ sauce.
