Hi,
My name is Maryann. I have started to sell Avon. I was wondering if anyone can give me some input on how to generate more customers. As I am fairly new at this, and would like to expand my business.
If there is anyone who has their own business that can give me some helpful ideas that would be great!!
Hi Maryann,
Hi,

Do you have a website yet? I thought I remembered that you do. If so, you can create a signature on the forum with your website address on it. This not only generates interest with other forum members to visit your site, but it gets picked up by the search engines and will help give your website a little 'boost' in search engine listings.
I'm sure you will find much valuable advice from the women here. Everyone has so much to offer.
Warm wishes!

I second adding your website to your signature. Also to help generate business in your area you may want to try personal advertising. By that I mean add a key chain to your keys that says "ask me about Avon!" or a bag, if you carry one, with the logo on it. I know some people who have had great success adding a magnet to their car door with their business information.
Good luck, I'm also in the process of building my business. It's not easy but I'm sure it'll pay off.

The Internet Based Moms forum has an Avon section:

Yes. Tell everyone what you do (and hand them that card like Anouk said). View networking as a 24/7 operation. You never know who you might run into that will want a catalogue. (ALWAYS keep some catalogues with you).
Going door to door (never alone) can be very effective too.
Really now, who doesn't love AVON? Especially their sales!!!
Do you have a website? I'd love to check it out! I loooovvvvvve their sales. :)
