Reading the adorable story about the hot air reminded me of a day when my own daughter was in preschool. Today she is 24, so this was 20 years ago. We were living in a house that was all carpet. Carpet in the kitchen, bathrooms etc. An all carpet house.
She was in school and she learned the song "this is the way we sweep our house". She then asked what sweeping was. When the teacher said it's what you do with a broom, my daughter asked what a broom was. All teachers were blown away that my daughter didn't know what a broom was at age 4, but we didn't own one. We just didn't need one.
Sometimes kids do say the darndest things.
