ROBLOX is a 3D blocks building and combat game for kids. Keeping the community safe and appropriate for the age range is highly critical to the success of the game/site.
Description:
The Community Moderation team is looking for one or two more moderators. The position is contract, paid, part-time to 3/4 time, and telecommuting. The rate is $10/hour. The rank is in the intern/entry level zone. The duration is ASAP through the Holidays and then permanent upon review.
Duties: Processing incoming content for objectionable or other material not allowed on the site. Content streams include images, game chat, user created items, and forums.
* Applicants must be: Age 18 or older, US Citizen, able to work from a good computer with fast Internet, willing to be managed over MSN or Windows Live messenger. Our moderation widget requires IE.
* The applicants need to be able to work on Saturday and Sunday morning (6am-9am Pacific) and/or Weeknights (6pm-8pm Pacific). Other shifts may become available. The start and finish times of these shifts are a little flexible but once set they must be attended.
* Applicants must be clear communicators and be able to keep an even tone when dealing with children.
* Send a resume and a brief description of any previous MMO community, moderation, or online workflow experience to the craigslist email link.
Team structure:
The ROBLOX Moderation team is a handful of paid moderators and a few volunteers. Moderators report to the Community Manager.
