I have been struggling with what I'm going to be when I grow up for about 10 years now! I've since had 2 children and I've had 3 very different types of careers. I've been toying with the idea of a business based out of my home for a few years. I once handled the entire layout/editing of a real estate advertising magazine from my home and LOVED IT! I could (and most of the time did) work at midnight in my gym wear if I wanted to. I'm good at that type of work.
Soooo...I've finally decided to be come a Real Estate Virtual Assistant. I've built a website on freeweb (for now)...and my short term goal is to have packets made and sent out NO LATER than January 15th.
My long term goal is to have my business make me financially independent. My husband is currently the "bread winner" and while it's "our" money, I'd like to be able to rest assured that if something were to happen to him (God forbid!), I could still maintain our home and allow our children and myself to live comfortably. The extra cash flow will serve as our "play" money. I oftentimes wish I could've boughten that pair of shoes I spotted while shopping for someone else. The occasional "date night" would be a whole lot more fun if we had the extra cash!
Anyway - wish me luck! ;)
