Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could help me. My husband and I have a home based IT company. We have gotten to the point where we needed more clients and my husband found a company online called www.strategicmarketingus.com He spoke to a Darrin Paulson. We were contacted by 3 or 4 other companies but chose to go with him because he was so convincing and seemed to be the best fit for us.

He asked us to send via Fed Ex almost 1000 dollars which is alot to us right now, but he assured us that his reps would be able to set enough appointments for my husband to more than make that back and then some. Due to the fact they were already working with companies like ours

Once the money was sent the communication ended almost immediatly, we tried stopping payment on the check, but it was too late. You hear about this type of stuff happening, but never think it can happen to you.

We finally received the news that the calling had been done and zero results? How is this possible we asked? He would only answer us by email and not take our calls. His answer was sorry but they did all they could. Now we realized that it would be a risk of sorts, but the lack of communication, false promises on top of the fact that their were 0 appointments for almost 1000 dollars seemed just downright unfair.

We called our bank and found out we have no recourse, which is probably why when we asked if we could put the 1000 on a credit card he told us they didnt accept them!

Its too late for us but just wanted to make everyone aware of this company in Scottsdale Arizona.

Here is the contact information:

Darrin Paulson
14362 N. Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd Suite 1000

Does anyone else have any other ideas of how I might recoup part of the monies we sent them?

We would appreciate any help.

Tammy

Tammy,

I am so sorry you were taken. The best you can do it to let others know. Report these folks everywhere you can so that others will not get taken.

Thank you so much for sharing your story with us.

Wow Tammy I am so sorry.

I am not if this will work in your case, but I suggest contacting FOX news...the have stations pretty much everywhere...and see if they can check it out. You might or might not get your money back, but at least others will now not to use them.

You may want to register a complaint with his local Better Business Bureau. They have an conflict resolution process that may be helpful. Also, have them ask for documentation of the so called "calls" he made -- as verification that he actually did what he said. With that information, you can do your own marketing -- I am assuming you were to receive the list of contacts (for follow-up purposes).

Good luck!

So...I received an email from Darren...actually 3 emails. He tells me he's tried to reach the person who posted the complaint and he can't get an answer.

The person who posted this posted only one time and never came back.

There truly are two sides to every story and we really don't know who is to blame here.

Definately sounds like it Audrey...I usually give No weight to those who come to a board and post ONLY 1 time and its a complaint about someone or some company.

We may never truly know what happened here.
