What can you outsource? I'm a huge supporter of outsourcing.

I dont know of anyone to outsource to in the area , right now I am just hoping to get family more involved to get me thru the holidays. If they can take over the office and general shop. I can get all the painting done . Out sourcing is a great idea though but in a rural area the pickins are slim.

What kind of website maintenance do you need? You may be able to hire a VA to manage the website and even put together the information for the orders. :)

Put those teenage grandkids to work! :)

Make sure to get enough sleep, even if it seems counter productive.

Hang in there!

I agree. Would your teenage grandkids be willing to make a lilttle bit of extra money? See w they say. You need to to balance the little time you have to relieve some of your stress to not burn out!

I'd suggest you make a list of the routine things you need to do, billing, advertising etc and give yourself a schedule and a certain time when you can't be disturbed.

Do the boring things early in the day and enjoy the painting throughout the day.

I try and get all my web, billing, proposals etc done early in the morning and enjoy my design work in the early afternoon. With set times for certain things I feel better knowing WHEN something will be done.

Keep us posted,

Kira

I agree with other posters try putting those teens to work. It will keep them "occupied" and less likely to get into trouble. Especially for the one grandchild you said was a "hand full".

Try finding some phase of your business that will appeal to them and get them motivated. Ask their opinions about "what ways you can advertise or get the word out about the business, etc.

Great advice :kewl: I've been asking my DM & son thier opinions on my forums keeping them involved & if something needs to be added or taken away they will tell me-they also help me pass out my flyers. Getting family involved is a wonderful to stay connected.
Good luck to you & God Bless :)
