Has anyone out there created an item then turned it into a successful online business? Or where do you find a decent manufacturer? This is in the sewing industry I am talking about. I would appreciate any info. Thanks Peg

I'm not sure about sewing but a friend of my makes jewerly & has made a successful online business from it. She buys her beads from craft stores.

I make a lot of crafts myself. I have tried to sell my jewlery on my etsy site, wp auctions, and even set up a special website for selling as well. But, I haven't sold a thing. :( So I'm trying something different and trying to sell them by posting pictures directly on one of my blogs.

I drafted a pattern almost 7 years ago and made it a part time business. I have added in other original patterns. I don't claim "success" but for me it is an artistic release, a socially responsible mission, and has been a great therapy from my life crashing when my husband died 2 years ago.
I guess I have stayed the course this long. To me it has some reflection of success.
