Big Sky Communications, www.bigskypr.com, is a marketing firm in San Jose that works with several large high-technology clients. Increasingly, our clients have asked us to assist with writing and developing customer case studies in other languages. These stories look at how companies are using specific technologies to improve their operations, lower costs, better serve customers, and achieve other business goals.
The stories range from 900 words to 2000 words (depending on the client). We are looking for writers to interview customer contacts (usually IT Directors or CIOs) by phone and then develop stories in their native languages (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, Spanish, German, or Italian and also provide a translated version of the same story in English. The work would be on a freelance basis so it could involve developing one or two stories a month. The final, approved stories would be laid out and used as part of our clients' marketing and sales activities.
Experience required:
-- Native speaker of Spanish or Italian or German or French or Japanese or Chinese or Korean
-- Comfortable discussing and writing about a range of computing technologies
-- Excellent interview skills
-- Familiarity with marketing writing
