I've heard a few stories lately about moms who are insecure about their choice to stay home and raise their children.
I've even found myself feeling insecure on behalf of my wife, Shannon, who stays at home with our five kids. I'm concerned that people might think that she's not making the most of her college education or professional potential.
Almost every time I talk about her staying home, I quickly add that she has a four-year nursing degree.
Lately, I've been trying not to do that because it's unnecessary. Her job as a mother is far more valuable to our family than her income as a nurse would be.
