Jessica,
Since you posted this on the networking forum and since you are asking for help...I'll offer my opinion.
I've seen your ads on many forums. Often they are deleted as you are not participating in the forums, you're just placing ads.
Most forum owners do not want ad placers. They want active participants.
Some owners have done away with ad boards. Some have minimum posting requirements and some delete ads every couple of days.
I get emails and PM's almost daily (from forums) asking about my products and my offers. These emails are coming from those who feel they know me through my posts. While I do occasionally place ads in the ads folders, that is not where the emails and PM's are coming from.
Choose two of the many forums you are now placing ads at and invest 20 minutes per day in each forum participating, answering questions and starting conversations.
Let folks get to know you.
If after reading this, you are still only interested in placing ads, my recommendation is that you join the many yahoo groups that accept ads and post in those groups daily.

What type of home based business you are promoting? You may just use your yahoo or google search engines in finding the right forums to post your ads. There are thousands available out there.

I hope you don't mind if I ask a question. I have seen all these ad groups on yahoo, but am always wondering who is joining them? Is it just people who want to place ads? In that respect would I really benefit from joining one? or so others join them?
TIA for taking time to answer a question I have had for awhile.

My own personal experience has been that no one reads them, folks just come and post ads. Again, that's just my own experience.

That has always been what I thought. I just didn't think it was worth my time to submit to a list where only other advertisers were submitting.
Now I know for my soap making list that I am on, have days that you can post ads. I actually read those and buy. But like you said, the people that are advertising are either well known suppliers or actively participate in the group so are well trusted, for lack of a better word.
Advertising is hard, for me anyways. One of the reasons I am switching to a virtual project.

Hi Jessica,
I notice you aren't using a signature in your posts? Please feel welcome to! That's a great way to share your link with other forum members.
I'm a big advocate in article writing and distribution also.
Do you have access to your website stats? If so, check and see which of the forums you frequent are sending traffic your way and invest more time in those forums.
I'm assuming you're asking about free advertising?
What's your website?
Warm Regards,
Lori

I noticed you were using it in a different thread right after I said that -- LOL. Then I couldn't remember where I said it to correct myself :)
