I have had luck with approaching real estate professionals and consultants. They are busy people with no real time to do the background work. Their work flow is unsteady and they have welcomed the idea of a virtual assistant.

What about offering to do their newsletter for them?

You can even offer to answer their emails for them, or even offer to send out promotions via email, etc. Pretty much anything that will save them time and energy. :)

Also, if you are interested in specializing in the real estate field as a VA, there are several great networking groups specifically for REVAs. You can do a google search for those.
