I heard NBC is having new sweepstakes where you can win $50,000 or 6 month supply of pampers just by watching As the World Turns or Guiding Light and answer simple questions (www.pgpcollegeeducation.com). I never knew anybody who ever won or participated in a sweepstake but I think I will try this one. Have you ever won anything?

I have won prizes. I also have given away prizes to random winners. Your odds of winning are relational to how many folks enter.

When I run a contest, I get only 1000 entrants. So you have a one in 1000 chance of winning.

The contest you posted will get millions of entries, thus your odds of winning are much less.

I have won prizes. Yep, the contest you posted is like buying a lottery ticket. The chances of winning becomes less and less as more people participate.

DH won SuperBowl tickets in 1998 (I think) when it was here in San Diego from Sprint. When he retrieved the tickets, he looked up the seat numbers on the stadium seating charts and found out that they were horrible seats. Way up high and partially obstructed view. He was able to sell them to a ticket broker that oversold their inventory and got nearly $5,000 for the two tickets!

Wow...that was a great win and what a way to maximize it. Over they years I've been to football games and while it's fun to be there, when sitting in the endzone and up high, it's impossible to view the game without constant binoculars. At home on t.v. is much easier to watch.
