Hi all, I wanted to tell you about lunching with my editors today. They gave me the invite to come up to the office in Little Rock and then to lunch with the two of them that I work with. I talk to them and email them just about every day but have never met them in person.

It went really great, very casual and informal. Both of them are younger than I am and both got their start with the paper as freelancers. They said several times how much they appreciate all my work. I agreed it is a great partnership!!

They had some positions open and offered me one but not seriously as in What would it take to get you here? Of course I told them I like the job I already have! That's twice in the last two months that I've turned down editor's positions. It feels great to be able to say I don't want a job!

It was great to finally meet them but I'm tired now and I don't have my work done!!

Wow, that's awesome, Michelle. You must be a great writer indeed. I really need to go and check out your site :)

Congrats!

Oh thanks Debbi. I'm good but rather long-winded so I won't hold it against you if you just look around and skim over the first couple of paragraphs!!

:D I write web content, so I've really learned to trim the fat, so to speak. Then, take that content and squish it into a brochure! YIKES! I've done a bunch of writing for the home care field, and I really enjoy it - my fav is just writing off the cuff, sarcastic stuff, though. Judging from your site, you get to write on many varied topics! How fun!

Yes and the longer the better — we've got SPACE to fill!!!

I'd like to get into web content writing myself. I'm only in print so far but I'd sort of like to expand.
