Does anyone know of good writing resources?

Hey everybody! I've started writing articles recently and am enjoying it very much, and now that I'm hooked on writing online I'm wondering if there are any other suggestions as to how to make $$ typing online? I love writing short stories, articles, advice columns etc and wouldn't mind making some substantial sums of supplemental income through many various threads of income.
Any ideas?

and BTW-I'm only looking to make a couple thousand extra bucks online from home, I'm not looking to be rich overnight, just to clarify. I know it takes hard work to be successful. That being said, I would completely and thankfully appreciate all input and advice from the members of this terrific forum.

Another thread here reminded me of www.associatedcontent.com and www.constant-content.com but the pay there is very low, or so it seems to me. For that reason I haven't submitted anything there but many people do submit there and really like it. Maybe you could give it a try. I believe you can write about whatever topic you like.
