Relevance measurement is the foundation of all search engines, without it no one can tell whether a change has made the system better or worse. As a quality rater you will be a key participant in helping determine the relevance of search engines. We are looking for quality raters who would work from home and review and rate websites based on an objective set of guidelines. Candidates must be avid internet enthusiasts. If you love browsing the web and have thoughts on which websites are good and which are poor and why, then we want to hear from you!
This is a temporary position and would last anywhere between a year or more depending on Project need and your performance. Candidates should be able to commit 30 – 40 hours a week (depending upon the availability of work) working between the hours of 07.00 am - 09.00 pm
Responsibilities:
· Judge website relevance on a client tool
· Rate websites based on detailed written instructions
· Provide feedback when required
Qualifications:
· Three years or more experience using the Internet
· Excellent e-mail communication, ability to escalate issues providing details
· Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
· Able to function independently with detailed written instructions
· Ability to use their best judgment or instinct to make decisions quickly
· Excellent time management skills
· Ability to work quickly and accurately
· Be able to focus on repetitive task without losing focus
Requirements:
· High-speed Internet connection (DSL or cable)
· Secure access to personal computer running a recent version of Windows (Vista or XP)
· Adobe reader and WinZip required
· Personal computer must have at least 512 MB of memory and 1.5 Ghz
