Hi Andrea,

You will need a domain name and hosting first. Vbulletin costs a couple hundred if I remember right -- but I'm not 100% positive on that.

Many people use the free phpbb (http://www.phpbb.com) board. It's usually pre-installed on servers, so easy to set up.

My forum doesn't make a heck of a lot frankly. The website makes more. But it's worthwhile for community building.

I'm sure bigger, busier forums make a good deal more with their advertising. So as with any site (or business)... blood, sweat and tears baby! The more effort you put into it, the more you'll get out of it.

Hope that helps :)

Hi Lori,
Wow how did you do it. I wear a lot of WAH hats, have I dug a hole where I can't see daylight. Whats the secret. Share(smile)

I only wear one wah hat. I sell Tupperware. All of my time and enegry go into promoting that business. Perhaps you've stretched yourself too thin?

I feel that way plenty :) More often when I'm juggling a lot of client work like I am lately.

What helps me is Tony Robbins. Really, truly.
