Terry,
How about a tip on writing classified ads :) I see many folks struggle with what to say, how long it should be, how much information to share etc.

When I write classified ads, I'm not telling people to join a business, so to speak. I more write about fulfilling a position on a team. People like to know that they're not alone, and often the thought of being a part of a team is far more appealing to somebody starting out (or experienced in many cases). This way, people understand that there is a decision maker. They believe there is a qualifying process to work with you, and by nature will become much more interested for the position.
So, here's what a sample ad for my business might look like...
Global Resorts Network is Expanding to (INSERT PLACE HERE)!
20 Year Old Global Resorts Network is now recruiting in your area
for independent Sales People. Can you follow direction? Own a
Computer? Filling 3 positions to complete team. High Income Potential.
As you can imagine, an ad like this would bring me 3X as many hits than an ad simply advertising the business.
BTW - I'm not saying this is the ONLY way to do a classified, but it works well, and hey... you just asked for a tip!

PS. Hey, being a newbie I'm not allowed to have ads..... i hope you don't count this ad as an "ad", lol.

I think that's a great tip. The ads I run now don't talk about a team, but you're right, I am often asked about a team. Super tip :)

Hi Audrey, nice to see you here.
I use the curiosity approach when writing ads, and leave
company and team info out.
I do however use that info for google advertising, people
people on search engines are looking for very specific
things.
Cheers,
Kim
