General Purpose of the Position:
Provides analysis and interpretation of customers' financial status for proper evaluation of risk and the establishment of proper credit limits. Interacts with sales support, customer service, and accounts receivable in reconciling accounts and processing payments. Prepares recommendations and makes credit approval decisions on new accounts. Analyzes and reports on credit memo and write-off activity. Monitors and communicates credit concerns to management. Handles payments received from customers and credits them to accounts accurately.
Position Requirements:
Provides administrative support in the collections process. Assists in preparing outstanding account reports and gathering credit information. Maintains database by entering, updating, and retrieving data, as well as formatting and generating reports. Maintains records on credit risks, delinquent accounts and incomplete files. Assists in resolution of outstanding invoice problems from past due accounts. Responds to inquiries from customers or external collection resources.
Qualifications:
• Excellent customer service skills including clear communication of complicated topics and empathetic listening.
• Ability to quickly and efficiently open/close and resize up to 10 windows at a time.
• Research skills – ability to organize information, solve problems, and quickly locate necessary information from a variety of windows/websites/databases/reference materials
• The ability to multi-task without losing customer-focus
• Excellent communication skills along with professional written and verbal skills
• Ability to work independently
• Must be detail oriented and well organized
• Work Experience/Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience working with accounts to establish credit guidelines and evaluating risk preferred.
Education:
High School Diploma
System Requirements:
• High Speed Internet: DSL or Cable (no wireless or satellite ISPs allowed)
• High Resolution Monitor (1024X768 pixels)
• Corded Telephone headset with noise-canceling microphone that plugs into a corded land-line telephone (no VOIP, digital, or cable) for production calls.
• Full duplex Soundblaster compatible sound card (after training begins, trainees will be sent voice-recognition training CD-ROMs to use during training – note: Most computers have this capability, if you have speaker and microphone capability it will probably meet the requirements)
• 256 MB RAM (recommend 512+ MB) or higher with 64 MB RAM available for training CD’s.
• Minimum 1 GB free hard drive disk space available for required training downloads
• Pentium III, 750 MHZ Processor or higher
• Analog landline phone line (No VOIP, digital, or cable) for training and production
Work Environment:
This is a remote (home-office) position. Agents will be required to work a minimum schedule of 20 hours per week.
