Hi Everyone,
I have only just started my own website, and I have been at it for about 7 months now and have only managed to write 12 pages. To be perfectly honest I didn't realise how difficult it was going to be to write so much relevant content. However, perseverance is the key to starting your own web business. Building a real business is neither cheap, nor quick-and-easy.
There are four steps to building a web business. 1. Loads of good relevant content targeting your niche market. 2. Using the right systems visitors will come. 3. Presell to your visitors, convince them that they have a need for your product. 4. Only when you have completed steps 1-3 do you then start to introduce monetization methods or selling. So, I am still at step 1, and every day gets easier. When you think you are starting to lag, think even harder about your goal.
Affirmations to keep me going.
I love the work that I do.
I perform all tasks with energy and enthusiasm.

Hi there,
Welcome to the forum. Great to have you here! :)
I took a peek at your website. Looks good so far.
I agree...getting a website up and running can be challenging. But...maintaining it and promoting it can be even more challenging. I wish you much success with it. Again welcome aboard. You've joined an excellent group here. :D

Thank you so much for your welcoming message. And also for reviewing my site. Better a challenge you enjoy then a job you just like.
Cheers

To be perfectly honest I didn't realise how difficult it was going to be to write so much relevant content.
One thing you can do is scan topics in your field and use those topics to create your own content.
An example...I've seen tons of questions about choosing scrapbook layouts, so I've now written about a dozen article on scrapbook layouts.
All of the experts will tell you that consistancy is what it takes when talking about content.

Thanks Audrey,
I guess when I first started, it felt like I wasn't moving, so a bit of panic set in. Do you know that browsing around helpful forums such as these is actually not only enlightening, but comforting. I suppose it has a lot to do with the fact that when you read some of these posts you realise all of a sudden you're not alone.
We are all being challenged by wanting freedom through our own businesses.
Thank you for taking the time to comment.

I have a few favorite article submission sites. One is ezinearticles.com Christopher Knight owns the site. It's probably the largest article site out there. I subscribe to both his ezine and also his blog. I read everything he writes on the subject of article Marketing.
wahm-articles.com is owned by Denise Willms. She has only owned the site about a year or so, but has grown incredibly since buying the site. Denise also has an ezine that I subscribe to. She offers a lot of great tips and advice.
The third one I suggest is ladypens.com This one is restricted to women only. Nicole Dean owns this site. Nicole offers several free ebooks and ezines. She is quite knowledgable on affiliate marketing. She also supports PLR articles, and has written quite a bit about them.
I subscribe to the ezines of all 3 of these folks and recommend them if you want to learn more about article marketing.
Finally....Steve Gillman who owns www.999articles.com wrote an awesome series on articles. He offers both a paid version and a free version. The free version comes one subject every couple of days. I have saved the entired series. His series is well worth the read.
Each of these people offers a little bit different perspective on article marketing. Hope you enjoy them.

Hi Audrey,
Thank you so much for all this information. The theme of my site was based on body, mind and soul, basically career based but mindful of the need to take care of yourself. I thought of this because I believe that many women still prioritise everyone ahead of themselves. But somehow I went off the track. I have taken a bit of a breather to straighten up so to speak and the websites and articles you have given me, I am sure, will guide back on track.
Thank you so much and for fixing up my booby.
I am grateful for all the advice I am receiving.
Take care
:D
