Unresearched Freelance Forums/Content Moderators - P/T
TripAdvisor, LLC, is looking for tech-savvy, detail-oriented people with discussion forums and data entry experience to work as independent contractors. You'll be moderating our discussion forums and/or other TripAdvisor social networking features to provide crisis management support. Helping us address member questions and concerns quickly and effectively will be your priority. We want to work with great people with excellent communications skills who are able to follow directions while working independently.
Requirements:
# A college degree.
# Minimum 20 hours of work per week will be expected. Hours will be scheduled/predetermined. Please do not apply if you are unable to commit to a specific schedule.
# The work will be completed from your home.
# Training will be done in our Needham, MA office or remotely.
# Applicants must have a personal computer and a reliable DSL or cable internet connection.
# Previous participation in large online discussion forums required; moderation experience preferred.
# Excellent command of the English language -- you must be able to craft a brilliantly persuasive email.
# Data entry experience, internet research skills and familiarity with web-based tools helpful.
# Familiarity with Web 2.0 functionality a bonus.
**We will ask you to take a brief test of these if you are selected to interview.**
Pay is $15/hour. No benefits/relocation/sponsorship. Wages will be reported on Form 1099.
