For those of you in direct sales - what do you use to keep your books? Do you use some kind of accounting software to track your income/expenses/inventory? Any suggestions for a really easy software program?

THANK YOU!!! I'm going to download one of the trials and see how it works. This is GREAT timing since I'm on a short school break until Aug. 16. I really, really, really hope one of these works!! I tried Quickbooks and thought I'd have to check myself into a mental institution for the criminally computer traumatized!!!
I will report back with my findings - thank you again!:wav:

HI MaryAnn,
That is too funny. :hee:
I feel your pain. I have tried Quickbooks off and on for years and never have made it work. Get this... I have taken accounting, etc. in school, I am a computer professional :work: and i write my own scripts/programs online for my website and I still find it hard to master.
Or should i say I can't understand why I have to get so detailed just to setup the books.
Anyway, I have tried both Invoice 2000 (they call it 2002) years ago and it worked great but... my problem with them at the time is that they constantly were adding new code/updates (which is not a bad thing) but sometime the updates mess up functions i used on a daily basis and i would have to wait til they fixed them. I eventually got backed up with doing my invoices so i just stopped using it. Between the 2 i mentioned like their program better as far as how it's laid out.
But i feel the 2nd company's software has less steps to using it. I'm talking about the Simple Busness Accounting Version they have. The one you need is for inventory I haven't tried that one so definitely let me know how you like it. I need to get use to using something consistent so i don't have all this paperwork piled up til the end of the year. :D
