Here are the rules for using the FreelanceMom forums. Please read them before participating.
My hope for the FreelanceMom Forums is that we have a terrific, fun time. I hope we develop lasting friendships and that we support eachother in achieving success in our home businesses.
I expect FreelanceMom members to be kind and overall have a positive attitude. I ask that you respect eachother, and understand that we don't always all agree - so also respect opinions different than your own.
We have all probably experienced online forums where arguments amongst members were abundant. I won't tolerate that type of interaction here. A debate, in the form of a difference of opinion is fine.
SPAM and ADVERTISING Policy
Do NOT use the FreelanceMom community for spamming or advertising in any way. Not through posts, private messages and ESPECIALLY emails. There are several exceptions. You may advertise in the following:
1. Your signature (which you can edit under your profile)
2. The advertising forum (http://www.freelancemom.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=59)
3. The bizops forum (http://www.freelancemom.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=52)
4. The WAHM products forum (http://www.freelancemom.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=44)
5. The WAHM services forum (http://www.freelancemom.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=45)
6. The Resume forums (http://www.freelancemom.com/forum/index.php?c=13)
This should be ample space for leaving your advertisements, so please keep the other forums free for conversation, not solicitation.
FreelanceMom moderators reserve the right to edit or delete any posts they deem to be 'spam' Please make sure that you are posting for the good of the community, not just for the sake of self-promotion :)
Ads include posting to invite other members to your site or to purchase your products or services. This is acceptible only in your signature. I also request that you do not use affiliate links in your posts. You may use affiliate links in your signature as well however.
I do hope that we can have constructive conversations about our business ventures, so speaking about your business is certainly acceptable. But please make your posts of value to the community.
Inappropriate Posts
DO NOT POST **** or even links to adult content in the forums.
If it is inappropriate for people under the age of 18, then DON'T post it. If you find any ****ographic or inappropriate posts on the forum, please inform Lori or one of the moderators.
Image Restrictions:
If you post an image in the forums, please keep the image size under 50K, and preferably under 300 x 300 pixels
If you choose to use an image in your forum signature, please keep the image size under 10K and less than 200 x 75 pixels
Forum Abuse Policy:
1st Offense - A Private Message from a Moderator pointing out the Forum Rules, in addition to the editing or deletion of the post
2nd Offense - Public warning on the message board plus deletion of post
3rd Offense - Moderators will discuss and possibly delete the user from the FreelanceMom forum.
