Hey everyone. Does anyone else do any localized newspaper writing? I was a writer and editor at a hometown newspaper in Eastern Arkansas for nearly 16 years before I branched out on my own, so I went with what I knew. I didn't have any success finding work with the Internet but a few local papers snapped me up. I now write for two local papers in my area and three zoned editions published by the state paper.
I write human interest and take the photos to go with it. It's very rewarding and much better than the office work that I did and loved for so long. I was always with my children, even in the office, because I brought them with me, but this is much better. The work is a lot less stressful and the money is better.

I would like to try to look for writing/editing work through the Internet. Any secrets?
