Vista Vent

Ok, so I got a laptop for a backup when I have to send my desktop to the shop. Yes, I know better than to buy new cars off the showroom floor and I know not to buy a computer with a new buggy OS. It just couldn't be helped.

NOW I remember WHY I don't buy things until the bugs have been worked out of them! I swear that Vista has to be at least as problematic for me as '95 was reported to be! Not only am I having problems with getting everything set up, I'm also having problems with burning a cd, recovery, and *GASP* the color management! How in the hello am I going to do my graphics on this thing if the colors are off?!

I was given the number and told to call Microsoft. Yeah, right! I swear they take the phone off the hook. HUMF! Anyway, nice positive thoughts sent this way are very welcome. lol

I hear ya! I did NOT want Vista when I bought my laptop but of course I had not say or choice in the matter.

I haven't experienced any of the problems you are having and everything works okay BUT I think it runs slower, I hate the little box that pops up everytime you try to do anything.. I am not an idiot if I didn't want to run this program I wouldn't be trying to run it... ick!

After I installed my Bluetooth software... a week later.. it says the license is invalid? WTH? Im positive that it's Vistas fault.. haha

I'm not thrilled with Vista either. Although she sure is pretty!

My system is SO slow. I am not sure if it's outlook though... I get thousands of emails each day and it might not be up to the task. Also -- I've got the new office so who knows how buggy that really is.

I havent really seen it yet but I wouldnt want to try it out right away either. I hate bugs :p

My folks have vista. We were there this weekend. It was so slow. We went and bought more RAM. They now have 3 gigs of RAM in their machine and the speed increased a lot.

I don't know why Microsoft made Vista so different. Unfortunately, that's the only operating system that comes on new PCs.

My husband and I are seriously considering changing over to Macs when these PCs are laid to rest.

I agree I hate Vista too, I might have to switch over to XP which is by far superior in my eyes.
