Dove:
Nice site, but I have a few thoughts for you:
- I like the image of the trees; they convey the sense of 'calm' that one gets from an organized home. That said, I think the image is way too big. On my laptop, the image fills the entire screen and forces me to scroll down to see the content. Your content is what is going to sell customers, so it's best to not make them look for it -- put it right in front of them.
- I'd crop the images on your other content pages as well to ensure that users get right to the content without need to scroll. (I love the photo of the owl, did you take that?)
- Your vertical menu bar is a little spread out, too, and requires scrolling to find all the options. Again, your mantra should be to make it as easy as possible for visitors on the site to find the information they are looking for.
- It's great that you show photos on your home decorating page. I'd include a few more if possible - maybe a before and after shot. I'd also consider adding a few before and after shots on your home organization page. One note, the bottom image on the decorating page is a little too dark; I'd consider adding some brightness in a program like Photoshop or replacing the image altogether.
- The photo on the eBay page is perfect, but again I'd crop it and move up the content.
- I like your concept of using the window panes on the Tips For Freedom page, however it's a little hard to read. You should try to create some more contrast on that page.
- On all your pages I'd add a prominent Call To Action, such as "Click here now to get a free telephone consultation."
I hope you find my comments useful. Please feel free to PM me or e-mail me if you wish to discuss further. Good luck with your site!

Hi Dove,
I love the tree image, but I agree with Justin, it's just too big. You never want to force your visitor to scroll down because they might not.
The side menu buttons are very hard to read. I would suggest putting them up with the tree and maybe horizontally, giving more room for your text.
Also, on the text - a good rule of thumb is to stick to 2 fonts, maybe 3 if they are very similar. Too many fonts make too much 'noise' on your site, distracting from your content.
I really like the green tones you chose, they are very peaceful and work well with your site.
I hope you find these comments useful!
Best,
d

Thanks Justin and Debbi, Your input is very much appreciated. I'm gonna copy and save it all, and make some adjustments as time allows :)
Yep, Debbi, I recently saw my site from another's computer and the menu text looked way to tiny. Geez, it's difficult when it looks different on different computers! How can ya' fix what ya' can't see?? *sigh*
Yeah, I love that owl picture too, Justin. Nope, I didn't take it, it was available through my host, Homestead. Thanks again, guys!

Hi Dove,
There was a link that you could use to 'view' what your site looks like in different resolutions. I'll see if I can find it and post it here.
