Couples choosing to work from home

My husband John left his corporate job as a data analyst in September of 2004 to join me in working from home. It was the best decision that we have ever made. It seemed risky to trade his very secure salary and position for the unknown future of a home business. But it didn’t take long for us to easily make up for the lost income.

I love it that we both are home with the kids. I love sharing the office work AND the housework. We really enjoy each others company so the lifestyle is perfect for us.

I was just reading an article from nbc news about couples choosing to work from home and was delighted that it is becoming a more mainstream decision for people.

Indeed, more and more couples are realizing that pros of working from home are now outweighing its cons.

The couple must have a very good connection for this business to work beacause its going to be a 247 together.

That's true. I remember when my husband and I started out doing business together and all of his co-workers thought he was nuts! It worked out fine :-)

Great article I've been working from home for 4 years and there are many legit companies out there that do offer it. You do have to treat it as any other job if you were working outside the home.
